D.L. Kerur was the editor of Kannada newspaper Samyukta Karnataka and magazine Karmaveera. He was a prolific poet in his own right & a renowned critic. He was a follower of the Navodaya movement in Kannada literature and a disciple of Da Ra Bendre.
