ನಮೋ ಎಂಬೆ ಶ್ರೀ ಚಂದ್ರಲಾಂಬೆಸನ್ನತಿಯನಿತ್ತು ಕಾಯೆ ।ಹೊನ್ನಗುಂಟೆಯಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸಿ ಸನ್ನತಿಯದೀನಗೊಲಿದೆ ತಾಯೆ ॥ ಪಲ್ಲ ॥
Translation
Our prostrations to Shri ChandralambeWho protects us from her abode SannatiStaying in Honnagunte, blessing SannatiAlleviating the sufferings of people there

ದಂಡಕಾರಣ್ಯದೊಂದು ಭಾಗದಲಿಪರಿವಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭೀಮೆ ।ಚಂಡತಾಪಸರ ಹೋಮ ಧೂಮದಿಂದಹಳು ಚಿತ್ತರಾಮೆ ॥ ೧ ॥
Translation
Amidst the dense forest, DandakaranyaFlows quietly the river Bhima.Atmosphere there was sanctified with theHeat & fumes of Yajna & Homa. (1)

ನೇತಿ ನೇತಿ ಎಂದೆಂಬ ಚರ್ಚೆಯಲಿಧರೆಸೂಳ್ಸನರಿಯ ।ಜಾತ ತರ್ಕ ಸಾಹಿತ್ಯ ವೇದ ವೇದಾಂಗದೊಂದು ಪರಿಯೆ ॥ ೨ ॥

Translation
Inhabitants here were not seduced by theMaterialistic pursuits of life.Achieving oneness with Him was theirOne & only spiritual target. (3)
