kusumakOmalagAtra shUrpaNakhigaridAyte?viShada pUtani nayanapakShmadoLagiraLe?musinaguvinoLagiralashakyave pishAchikegemRuSheyo maibeDagella – MANKUTIMMA
Interpretation
Not only is the Universe under a veil of illusion, Maya has pervaded beyond the macro level to the micro levels as well…in the lives of individual human beings
The same phenomenon seen at a high level in the mechanisms of the Universe is seen in individual acts of man as well
Mankutimma, have you not read the Ramayana & Mahabharata where Shurpanakha & Putana donned the garbs of innocent, beautiful women with pleasing manners & appearances in order to attract Rama & Krishna…however, it was their sharp senses which helped them to discern the truth. Similarly realise that appearaces are very deceptive & can dupe you. You need to hone your senses to the extent that you too can discern reality from fake…only then can you survive & hope to evolve into a better human being.
