Interpretation
The life of man in this Universe is a very dynamic one – it is a continuum of evolving thoughts, idealogies & accomplishments.
A deep study of history of mankind shows that each generation is a bit more evolved than the previous ones…at the same time, they continur to retain an element of identity of previous generations
Not only does he carry forward the identity of previous generations, he also has to carry forward the consequences of their Karma
Mankutimma, understand that you are a function of your previous generations…despite your progress as you evolve & accomplish, bear in mind that you cannot escape the consequences of the actions executed by previous generations. You are bound to this Karma just like an elephant despite being a powerful animal is completely under the dominance of a small hook which controls it.
