Interpretation
We are at strange cross-roads in the history of the Universe
The practices, faiths & beliefs of the olden times have lost their appeal over time
At the same time, there is no new bright philosophy that has replaced them
The Universe and mankind find themselves in a Trishanku like situation -- where they are neither here nor there
They are thoroughly confused
Mankutimma, the situation is akin to that of a blind & lame person who finds his familiar house demolished
