Transliteration
mAyeyommomme tOruvaLu migilakkareyamAyipaLu gAyagaLanIvaLiSHTagaLamaiya nIm mareye nUkuvaLAga pAtALakeprEya pUtaniyavaLu – MANKUTIMMA
Interpretation
Maya, the illusion being a reflection of reality is so persuasive that man tends to feel that illusion itself is reality
During the course of life, the run of play sometimes so happens that man has all his wishes fulfilled, everything seems to go right for him, all the wounds – physical or psychological are healed and everything is going right
At such times, it does appear that Maya is nothing but reality
Mankutimma, be careful…what appears to be joy is transient only. If you become drunk with this joy and lose your real purpose, it will not be long before this transitory joy is replaced by suffering. At that time, Maya will appear to you as the demon Putana who came to Lord Krishna perceived to be a loving lady; but was a bad person in reality. It is only when you are able to break the shackles of illusion that you will realise that joy & sorrow are also two sides of the same coin…and only then will you be able to get to The Truth & only that knowledge will prepare you to face joy & sorrow equally
